ICST Algeria: extension of the call for submissions
The first call for submissions of projects for the ICST Algeria programme (Information and Communication Science and Technology) has been extended to November 30th 2010. This follows a call for projects launched in June 2010 by Inria and the Algerian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Initiated by these two entities, the ICST Algeria programme should help develop and reinforce ties between researchers on either side of the Mediterranean  in information and communication science and technology (ICST) and applied mathematics.

Associate Teams 2013-2015: call for projects 2012
An Associate Team is a joint project created between an Inria project-team and a research team from abroad. The two partners jointly define a scientific objective with a clear added value for each of them, a research plan and a program for bilateral exchanges. To promote and develop such scientific collaborations throughout the world, by supporting high quality research projects, Inria’s International Relations Department annually launches a call for proposals.

Collaborative research actions: promoting cross-disciplinary collaborations
Inria's collaborative research actions (ARC) allow several research teams and other organisations to work together to open up promising new fields of collaboration. They encourage the formation of new synergies between complementary approaches and research subjects. Twelve collaborative research actions were approved in 2010, spanning fields such as health, the environment and virtual reality. We take a look at these projects, which touch upon multiple fields of research.
