Start-ups
Creation of start-ups
One of the preferred methods for technology transfer is the creation of start-ups marketing technologies derived from the results of research. Since 1984, the Inria Sophia Antipolis - Méditerranée research centre has started up 16 technology companies, including 7 since 2000.
Platforms
Our technological platforms
The Inria Sophia Antipolis - Méditerranée research centre hosts several experimentation platforms, vital tools for research and evaluation, open to the territory's scientific community.
- Gouraud-Phong: an immersive space with variable dimensions
- Plexus: a platform for the study of wireless networks
- Medical imaging platform
Technologies
Ones to watch in software and technologies
Our Centre is active in the field of technology transfer and innovation. Our research teams are thus the source of many key technologies, including HOP and ns-3. The HOP language makes it possible to develop Diffuse Web applications. As for ns-3, it is a network simulator permitting the validation and optimisation of network protocols, such as WiFi or WiMAX.
