How to reach us

The Paris-Rocquencourt research centre is located in Rocquencourt, near Versailles. On 1 July 2009, it opened a Paris sub-office. Here, you can find all the contact details for these sites as well as all the practical information you need to get there.

By shuttle bus - Versailles

A free shuttle bus (a coach with an Inria sign on the windscreen) runs between Versailles and Inria Paris-Rocquencourt every day.

(On leaving the station, you will see a staircase on the left leading down to the SERNAM car park,
where the Inria-SAVAC coach is parked, opposite the Raymond Poincaré school)

Getting to Rocquencourt by public transport

  • From Orly airport
    Take the Orlyval shuttle bus to Antony
    Change at Antony > Take the RER B towards Saint Rémy-les-Chevreuses, getting off at Massy Palaiseau
    Change at Massy Palaiseau station > Take the RER C to Versailles Chantiers
  • From Roissy–Charles de Gaulle airport
    Take the RER B towards Saint Rémy-Les-Chevreuses, getting off at Saint Michel Notre-Dame
    Change at Saint Michel Notre-Dame
    Take the RER C towards Saint Quentin-En-Yvelines
    Get off at Versailles Chantiers
  • From Gare St Lazare, Paris - Take the train for "Versailles-Rive Droite".
  • From Gare Montparnasse, Paris - Take the train for "Versailles-Chantiers".
  • On the RER A for "St Germain en Laye", "Poissy" or "Cergy". Change at "Grande Arche de La Défense" and take the SNCF train for "Versailles-Rive Droite".
  • On the RER C for "Versailles-Rive Gauche" or "Versailles-Chantiers".

Once in Versailles, take the shuttle bus for Inria Paris–Rocquencourt. Outside of the shuttle bus's operating hours, Inria can be reached by the Versailles city buses

Phebus - Line B

From Versailles Chantiers to Inria Paris-Rocquencourt

  • From 9:30 am to 3:00 pm: every 10 minutes
  • From 3:00 pm to 8:56 pm, approximately every 15 minutes

Return to Versailles Chantiers

  • From 9:30 am to 3:27 pm, every 10 minutes
  • From 3:27 pm to 9:19 pm, approximately every 15 minutes

By car

From Paris

Take the "Autoroute de l'Ouest" (A13 towards "Rouen").
Then take exit number 6 for "St Germain en Laye, Versailles-Notre Dame".
Turn left towards "Versailles".
Then take the second right (about 200m further on) towards "Bailly, Maule".
Inria is on the right after 250m, after a BP service station.
Inria is 20 km from the Paris ring road.

Getting to the Paris office

By metro:

Line 5: Bobigny / Place d'Italie
Line 6: Charles de Gaulle Etoile / Nation
Line 7: La Courneuve / Villejuif - Mairie d'Ivry

By car:

From the Boulevard Périphérique:
Come off at Porte d'Italie, then go up Avenue d'Italie towards Place d'Italie

From the centre of Paris:

Follow signs for Place d'Italie, then Porte d'Italie
You can park in the Italie 2 shopping centre (an indoor pay-to-park public car park) on Avenue d'Italie (on the even-numbered side of the street).
