ATEAMS, the first international research team
On 25 June 2008, the ATEAMS research team, based at the CWI in Amsterdam, was officially launched. Attached to the Inria Lille - Nord Europe research centre, this is the first team Inria has created outside France.
The ATEAMS research team, headed by Paul Klint, a Dutch scientist specialising in the analysis and transformation of large software, brings together the strengths of two bodies working in this area.
A small step for us, a giant leap for Europe
said Michel Cosnard, Chairman and CEO of Inria, at the ceremony. This first opens the way for other cross-border teams, in fact, Bologna university and the Inria Sophia Antipolis - Méditerranée research centre have recently announced the formation of a research team called FOCUS.
