Serialization
Serialization is a process whereby the status of a piece of information saved in a memory can be coded as a series of smaller pieces of information (such as octets or bits).
The resulting series can then be used to save or transmit data over a network (proxy, RPC, etc.). The corresponding opposite operation, required to decode this series in order to be able to recreate an exact copy of the original information, is known as deserialization. Source: Wikipedia
