Discovering digital sciences in Aquitaine
Scientific discoveries and their technological applications are at the very core of our society. Our mission: to inform and raise awareness among the general public, and particularly young people, students, teachers and decision makers, of the many uses of digital sciences and technologies. Inria Bordeaux - Sud-Ouest is committed to making knowledge accessible for all and spreading scientific culture through various initiatives.
- Initiatives in schools: the programme "Aquitaine en débats" proposes meetings with researchers, professors, engineers, etc.
- Discovery workshops : La Fête de la science (Science festival) is a one-week event devoted to discovering the world of science and technology. Researchers, industrial operators and associations dedicated to scientific culture organise exhibitions, laboratory tours, conferences, workshops and demonstrations for the general public. It is an opportunity to get information and discuss key scientific and societal issues. This year, come meet our research teams from October 21st to 24th.
- The Science Village : Cap Sciences proposes fun and simple activities around a scientific problem. We will keep you up to date on these activities in the News section
- Student projects: Math en jeans proposes having one of our researchers supervise a group of students (primary/secondary/high school) over a period of several months as they work on a scientific project.
- Assistance for secondary and high school teachers : The IREM (Institute of research into the teaching of mathematics) in Bordeaux has created working groups where researchers regularly meet with teachers to work on themes of their choice and organise special days devoted to scientific vulgarisation. Feel free to ask for help!
