Inria works with renowned partners
The Inria Bordeaux - Sud-Ouest Research Centre works in close collaboration with its academic partners, both in Bordeaux and Pau. These very strong ties with the academic world will be strengthened thanks to the new premises at the heart of the Information and Communication Science and Technologies campus.
The Bordeaux - Sud-Ouest Centre has 2 of its own teams (FLOWERS and GEOSTAT) and 17 joint research teams with the Research and Higher Learning Cluster at the University of Bordeaux (Bordeaux 1 and 2), the University of Pau and Pays de l'Adour and the French National Centre for Scientific Research.

A Research Centre open to the outside world
The Research Centre has ties with overseas partners thanks in particular to:
- associate teams with King’s College London, Zhejiang University, Shandong University, Houston University, University of Chicago, etc.
- Strong involvement in the joint laboratory between Inria and the UIUC (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign),
- The recent creation of a joint national laboratory between Inria and the European Centre for Research and Advanced Training in Scientific Computation in very high-performance computing.
- Numerous European collaborations with countries such as Spain and Portugal and an outward-looking approach towards Latin America.
